Automated Data Digitization System for Vehicle Registration Certificates Using Google Cloud Vision API

This study aims to develop an automated data digitization system for the Thai vehicle registration certificate. It is first developed as a web service Application Programming Interface (API), which essential any enterprise increase its business value. Currently, this available on “www.carjaidee.com”. The involves four steps: 1) embedded frame aligns document be correctly recognised in image acquisition step; 2) sharpening and brightness filtering techniques enhance quality are applied pre-processing 3) Google Cloud Vision API receives prompt proceed recognition 4) specific domain dictionary improve accuracy rate post-processing step. defines 92 images experiment by counting correct words terms from output. findings suggest that proposed method, had average of 93.28%, was significantly more accurate than original method using only API. However, limited because dictionaries cannot automatically recognise new word. In future, we will explore solutions problem natural language processing techniques.
